About the Auxiliary

The Shelbyville Auxiliary was chartered on March 15, 1992 with 128 members. Of those charter members, 40 are still in good standing. Every year the Auxiliary members help with the annual picnic and run the games for kids, prepare and serve the Thanksgiving Dinner, and host the Kids’ Christmas Party. For the past couple years, we have "adopted" the Martin Family. Each year we donate to the Grand Aerie Charities which are: the Max Baer Heart Fund, the Art Ehrmann Cancer Fund, the D. D. Dunlap Kidney Fund, the Jimmy Durante Children’s Fund, the Lew Reed Spinal Cord Fund, the Diabetes Fund, and the Alzheimer’s Fund.

Women over 21 may join the Auxiliary by submitting an application and a one-time application fee of $10, and annual dues are $17 per year. Re-Enrollment fee is $10.
